Who is responsible for your information

This memorial is published by Edventure Web Development Services, represented by Mark Anthony Llego. Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), we act as the personal information controller for the information described in this notice.

What this site is

This is a memorial for Celerina Chirivilla Odinada, lovingly known as Celing, kept by her family and friends. There are no accounts to create, no advertising, and no tracking scripts. Personal information is collected only to publish remembrances and to keep the site safe.

Information we collect

• The remembrance form. When you send a remembrance, we collect the name you would like shown, your connection to Celerina if you provide one, and your message. We also record your agreement to have it displayed.
• Verification and abuse prevention. Every submission is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-verification service. The IP address that carries your request is used to limit how often the form can be used. We do not use it to identify you.
• Photographs. The album was shared by Celerina’s family and by Mark Anthony Llego, the photographer, with their consent. The photographs may show family members, friends, and mourners.
• On your device. Your theme preference is kept in a cookie named memorial-theme so the site can honor it on your next visit. A lit candle is remembered in your browser’s local storage and is never sent to us.

How remembrances are checked

Every remembrance passes an automated safety check before it is stored. The check looks for harmful, abusive, promotional, or private content.

Remembrances that pass are published in the remembrance book with the name and connection you gave. Remembrances that need a closer look are saved privately for the family to review. Remembrances that fail the check are not stored. A record of the automated check, including the model, the policy, and its safety judgments, is kept with each stored remembrance so the family can review the decision.

Why we process your information

You agree to the publication of your remembrance when you tick the consent box and send it. That consent is the basis for publishing it, and you may withdraw it at any time by writing to us.

We also rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the memorial safe and working: protecting the form from bots and abuse, and limiting how often it can be used. We process only what is needed for those purposes.

Who we share it with

Information is shared only with the service providers that keep the memorial running: Cloudflare, which hosts the site and provides security, image delivery, and Turnstile verification, and a third-party automated moderation provider that performs the safety check.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Published remembrances are, by design, visible to everyone. We may disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Published remembrances remain part of the memorial. Remembrances awaiting family review are kept until that review is finished. Remembrances that fail the safety check are not stored.

Rate-limit counters expire within a minute, and our service providers keep their own logs for a limited time under their policies. The theme cookie and your candle stay on your device until you clear your browser data.

How we protect it

We use HTTPS on every page, restrict access to the memorial’s database, verify submissions with Turnstile, limit how often the form can be used, and check every remembrance before anything is published. There is no public administration interface. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep these safeguards appropriate for the information we hold.

Your rights under the Data Privacy Act

As a data subject, you have the right to:

• Be informed whether we hold your personal information and how it is processed;
• Object to the processing of your information, including the publication of your remembrance;
• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or outdated information;
• Erase or block your information, such as when you withdraw your consent;
• Be indemnified for damages caused by the misuse of your information;
• Receive your data in a commonly used electronic format where it is processed automatically; and
• Complain to the National Privacy Commission.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at markllego@gmail.com. We may ask for reasonable proof of identity, and we will respond within the time the law allows. Lawful heirs and assigns may invoke these rights where the law permits.

If there is a data breach

If a security breach leads to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorized disclosure of personal information, and it is likely to cause serious harm to the people involved, we will notify the National Privacy Commission and the affected data subjects within 72 hours of learning of it, as the law requires.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the memorial or the law changes. The effective date above shows the latest version, and important changes will be noted on the site.
